Objective

  • Convince Romanians to visit again their favourite libraries and remember them pleasure of reading a good book in the digital context of 2011.

OBA Solution

  • Strategy: Focus on social media influencers to create buzz around the first national event "Libraries Night"
  • Message: We involved several bloggers with high traffic to wrote about the event and also make contest related with the event
  • Support: The initial Facebook group was meant to identify the influencers. 2 months before the people could share their opinion on the event and after that a Facebook fan page
  • Timing: 8 weeks (August-September 2011)

Results

  • Website traffic: 17.533 unique visitors on www.noapteabibliotecilor.ro(no ads)
  • Interest: 5 Facebook contests with 300 participants where we gave books from our partners ( Editura Trei, Editura Humanitas, Editura Polirom, I love velo, Editura Adevarul).
  • Interest: Over 30 blogs wrote or mentioned about Noaptea Bibliotecilor
  • Interest: 15 book contests on blogs with traffic over 7000 visits/week counted 457 participants
  • Fans: From 0 to 2000 Facebook friends in 2 months
  • Free PR: 7 TV stations, 7 newspapers and 5 radio channels talked and made interviews about Noaptea Bibliotecilor
  • Free PR: Over 800.000 views of free PR online
